Dia do Bheatha a Naí Anocht
Dia do bheatha, a Naí anocht
Do ghabh id'dhiagacht daonnacht
Dár saoradh a chnú chroí
A Bhrú mhaothghlan Mhaighdine
Anocht dob íseal dár bhFlaith
i gcró cúng an asail
Mo chion le tháinig Dá thoil
Dár fhagaibh Neamh um Nollaig
Gaol is grá, trócaire is toil
Le dtug Dia a Mhac dá mhalairt
Dár ndíon ar chathair na gciach
Rí is Athair is Aondia.
Teacht Chríost
Do ghlanas mo chroí anocht,
Amhail mhnaoi a ghlanfadh a teach,
Roimh theacht dá leannán dá fios,
A leannáin, ná téirigh thart.
Do leathas doras mo chroí,
Amhail fhear a dhéanfadh fleá,
Ar theacht i gcéin dá mhac,
A mhic, is álainn do theacht.
Amhail mhnaoi a ghlanfadh a teach,
Roimh theacht dá leannán dá fios,
A leannáin, ná téirigh thart.
Do leathas doras mo chroí,
Amhail fhear a dhéanfadh fleá,
Ar theacht i gcéin dá mhac,
A mhic, is álainn do theacht.
Fáilte go suíomh nua faoi Aifreann Ghaeilge
Hi, Eilís is ainm dom, and I would like to share with you songs and hymns that we use at our Irish Mass every Sunday morning.
I would love to be in contact with other parishes and choirs who would be interested in sharing new and old Irish hymns together. We have a hymn book with a mixture of over 100 new, old and translated hymns in it. We are always looking for different hymns be they new, old or translated.
We are working on our Christmas hymns at present and I will post what they are during the week, so if you are interested in any of them please contact me at eilisfisher28@gmail.com and I will send you what I have.
